Wayne and Cynthia are proud Auburn University graduates and have been married for 39 years. Together, they have built a business centered on honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer service while serving families throughout Alabama and the Southeast.
As lifelong entrepreneurs, Wayne and Cynthia have dedicated their careers to helping clients navigate important life transitions through real estate sales, estate liquidations, business liquidations, and professional auction services. Their passion for antiques, collectibles, and the auction industry has helped shape WLA Realty & Auction into a trusted name for both buyers and sellers.
The Woottens are the proud parents of two adult children, Andrew and Anna, and enjoy spending time with family, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and attending auctions across the country. Their combined experience, personal attention, and commitment to treating every client like family are the foundation of everything they do.

Meet Our Team
Wayne Wootten
Wayne Wootten founded Weiss Lake Auction in January 2015 and has spent his career building one of North Alabama’s premier auction and real estate companies. A lifelong resident of Henagar, Alabama, Wayne grew up on a family farm and graduated from Auburn University.
Wayne is the Owner and Qualifying Broker of WLA Realty & Auction and is a licensed real estate broker in Alabama. He is also a licensed auctioneer in Alabama (AL #5401), Georgia (GA #AU004134), and Tennessee (TN #7073), allowing him to serve clients throughout the Southeast.
Over the years, Wayne has successfully marketed and sold thousands of assets through real estate, estate, business, farm, and personal property auctions. His experience, innovative marketing strategies, and commitment to honesty and professionalism have earned him the trust of buyers and sellers alike.
Whether assisting families with estate settlements, marketing real estate, or conducting complex liquidation auctions, Wayne is dedicated to maximizing value while making the selling process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Cynthia Wootten
Cynthia Wootten serves as the Chief Financial Officer of WLA Realty & Auction, overseeing the company’s financial operations and helping ensure every auction and real estate transaction runs smoothly.
A graduate of the Auburn University School of Pharmacy, Cynthia enjoyed a successful career as a pharmacist before retiring in 2021. Her years of business ownership and financial management provide invaluable experience to the day-to-day operations of WLA Realty & Auction.
Cynthia has a lifelong appreciation for antiques, gardening, and travel, and enjoys helping clients through every stage of the auction and real estate process. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to exceptional customer service make her an integral part of the WLA team.
Anna Wootten
Anna Oliver is the Marketing Manager for WLA Realty & Auction and plays a key role in the company’s marketing, client relations, and auction operations. As the daughter of Wayne and Cynthia Wootten, she has grown up in the family business and is passionate about helping clients achieve successful results.
A 2021 graduate of the Auburn University School of Nursing, Anna brings a unique combination of attention to detail, communication skills, and organization to every project. She is also a licensed real estate salesperson and licensed auctioneer, allowing her to assist clients throughout both the auction and real estate process.
Anna oversees the company’s digital marketing, photography, social media, advertising campaigns, and property promotion, ensuring each auction and listing receives maximum exposure. She is committed to showcasing every property and estate professionally while providing outstanding service to buyers and sellers alike.
Kelly McDaniel
Kelly has been an integral member of the WLA Realty & Auction team since 2015. As the manager of our Centre warehouse, she oversees daily operations, coordinates auction preparation, and plays a vital role in ensuring every sale runs efficiently from start to finish.
A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, Kelly lives in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, and brings years of experience, dedication, and attention to detail to every project. Whether managing inventory, organizing estate assets, or preparing auctions for thousands of bidders, Kelly’s leadership and work ethic are essential to the success of our operations.
Her commitment to excellence and willingness to go above and beyond for both clients and coworkers make her a valued member of the WLA Realty & Auction family.
Lisa Smith
Owner of Parkway Style Antiques for the past 8 years. Associate degree in Business Management from NACC and has been in manufacturing/distribution management over 20 years. Graduated from North Georgia School of Auctioneering in 2016. Hobbies include interior design work, organizing/staging, studying and collecting antiques.
Tiffany McDaniel
Tiffany serves as the Shipping Coordinator for WLA Realty & Auction, ensuring that purchases are carefully packaged and shipped to buyers across the country. Her attention to detail, organization, and commitment to customer service help provide a smooth and reliable experience for our online bidders. Tiffany is a valued member of the WLA team and plays an important role in delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.
Tim and Connie Cochran
Tim and Connie Cochran have been married for 30 years with three children: Jess, Colby, and Cage, and they currently live in Fyffe, AL. Both graduates of Jacksonville State University with Masters in Education, Tim and Connie served as educators and coaches in Dekalb County for over 30 years before retiring in May 2022. During that time, they also owned a home decor/china store in Fort Payne, AL.
Connie Hughes
Connie serves as an Estate Sale Specialist for WLA Realty & Auction, assisting with the organization, preparation, and presentation of estate and personal property auctions. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to serving clients help ensure each auction is professionally prepared and ready for success. Connie is a valued member of the WLA team and takes pride in helping families through every step of the liquidation process.
